Hi,

does the version v0.97.13 have higher performance requirements?
I have "low power system" (see below) and the version 96.12 works
fine till now. Do I have to upgrade my system :confused:
-== VIA Epia SP8000 / 512 MB DDR400 / 250GB 2,5' Samsung / PVR150 === GBPVR is the best!! F*** the rest!! Wink ==-
-== Celeron 2,66 GHz / 768 MB DDR400 / 80GB Samsung SP / Skystar2 / NPVR 1.5.31 ==-

The requirements havnt increased, but the minimum requirements of GB-PVR have always been a 1GHz PIII class CPU with 512MB of RAM. You system is way below this. The C3 800MHz CPU is about the equivalent of a 500Mhz Celeron.

Hi sub,

that sounds gooood!! Smile

The v96.12 works realy good on my system.
I think the motherboard is the key of my success Smile
because it have a VIA CN400 North Bridge chip
with hardware-based MPEG-2 decoding and MPEG-4 acceleration.

When i play dvd's the system utilization is about 25%! That's OK?? Wink

I own a VIA EPIA M10000, and its way too slow to run GB-PVR, so I hate to think how responsive your SP8000 is...

Till now i can only say: It was a good buy!! Smile
And it is overclock-able!! The last time when i have
played arround with it it reached 933 MHz with no problems.

Now i have switched to the new version!
And it works fine! ( like you have predicted sub Smile )
The only problem i had was an old myvideos plugin which
produced a crash every time i tryed to watch a recorded show.
After deleting that plugin all was OK! Smile
