Ah,

the gbpvr.exe.log files

I hve not managed to get gbpvr running.

I have been trying to run the config first, and it is that which crashes.

could that be why there are no gbpvr.exe.log files ?

do the config.log files form the last few days make any sence to you ?

sorry for the confusion, I just zipped up every log file in the directory.

You had said the following in your initial post, and titled "IP Address wrong according to gbpvr", which is why I'd been trying to look in gbprv.exe-log.

Quote:Looking in the gbprv.exe-log file, I have a line that says

INFO [41] BOOTPWorkerThread() :Hostname CAMFS
INFO [41] BOOTPWorkerThread IP Address 192.168.0.37

The name is correct, but the server IP address is really 192.168.13.31,
(BTW, that probably was your IP address a year ago)

What is the error message you're shown when starting the config app? There is no error shown in the logs.

Hi Sub.

I just get windows crash when I try to run config, and windows tries to sen doff the report to microsoft.

Tell you what, I'll try another machine. The windows box could be on the way for a re install, it's had a few ( lots ) of changes over the last few years.

Now , when we re compile gbpvr for linux....
oh well, looks to me lik elinux are quoting your gbpvr anyway, particulary regard the MVP.

Out of interest, how long do you spend each day on these logs ?

I can remember the old forum, and there used to be a few hits per day, you seem to be in undated now days. How do you manage it ?

I'll kill this now, and try a few more experiments.

Ta very much.

What does the error say?

I have a theory on this: Sub is a handle that is used by many people to provide support (must check the forum history to see if he's ever posted twice at the same time!). Either that or he is a super human PVR guru Smile

I'd vote for super human

I was trying to work out how many hours he must spend on the forum, let alone working on the code, or trying to make a living.

The load increase since I was last here a year ago is amazing.
