ATI 650 Pro working for anyone??

I have the ATI TV Wonder 650 USB Combo tuner, works well in the ATI Media software and the trial version of Beyond TV. I'm also having problems getting digital (ATSC) channels to show up while mapping to EPG (analog channels over cable are detected fine). The channel scan turns up nothing.
Using latest ATI drivers 8.12. Right now I'm only using the digital tuner (so should be no issues of conflict between the digital and analog tuners) and I've double checked the bda.ini files with graphedit. Funny thing is I just checked and I can detect Clear-QAM channels if I plug my cable coax into the digital input instead of the antenna and change the device type to ATI 650 Pro (QAM) in GBPVR. I'm really confused. Any ideas?

What kind of antenna are you using? The ATSC tuners on these cards are not the most sensitive things in the world. I had an amplifier and a big 8 bowtie antenna, and I had problems pulling in some channels. Finally I just pulled in all the channels in over QAM. I actually got channels I couldn't get over the air that way.

The antenna should be fine, I'm able to pull more than 20 ATSC channels in ATI's Media software, as well as in the trial version of BeyondTV.

I'm using a 650 pro with Vista SP1 (32 bit) and the latest drivers from ATI-AMD...tuning in 60 some odd cable channels and having no issues whatsoever with VMC or GBPVR

HI all,
new to GBPVR. I've just built a HTPC and have been testing all DVR software out there trying to find one that meets my needs. I've been using MediaPortal for the past month or so but its a little to buggy for fulltime use so i'm trying GB now.

I have 2 ATI 650 combo tuners. one is USB and other is PCIe. I have them both hooked up to antenna for OTA HDTV. using digital tuners only. i want to be able to watch/record two shows at once.

when i goto setup capture card i check show my devices box and it shows ATI 650 in the list. I pick ATSC and set device number 1 and try to tune and get nothing. next setup a second capturecard and select ATI 650 and device #2. try to tune and it sees most channels (not all).

originally I thought maybe device 1 was the first tuner and device 2 was second tuner. but from reading it sounds like the device #s are actually inputs on the device (digital/analog/svideo). and from reading this thread it looks like maybe my USB isn't being detected like others before have posted? maybe?

so hear are my questions:

1. how to setup 2 ati 650 tuners in GBPVR?
2. how to get USB to show if it is indeed missing?
3. if i have two tuners of same type, when i check box to show my devices will it show two copies of same type or only 1?
4. my am i missing channels in the scan on the tuner that does work. I know the channel is there becuase it works in other software. and i have weaker signal channels on the list than the missing one? is it not scanning all channels? is there a way to force tune it?

Having same problem with ATI Tvwonder 650 Usb Combo Tuner. The card works in Virtualdub. Both the ATI and my huappague 1600 card work in live tv mode although it takes about a minute to get a picture. I am also Getting zero byte recordings off the ati usb card using analog cable. Using Version 1.3.7 on an AMD Athalon 3400+ with 1.5 gigs of ram running xp log files are attached along with direct.ini and filtercheck.log

after playing around with tis for a few days i finally tried installing catalyst media center as a last ditched attept and it seems to be working for me now the only ting is it will not record offf both cards at the same time.
