ok I have been having problems getting sleep mode to work well for a long time. first I couldnt get it to sleep, then I cant get it to wake when I use the keyboard (after I changed the bios setting, checked that it worked, left it for a night, now it wont wake on ps2 activity... again )
since I started using sleep mode I have never gotten the EPG to update, I have it set to do it at 3am, wake machine, full reload, etc. nope, recordings work fine, it wakes up for those.
I got it to sleep properly, when left alone for 15 minutes it went to sleep...
then even more fun, I installed the new theater plugin a few days ago (the one that auto updates) and now when I wake up in the morning the machine is on, sitting there, and gbpvr has crashed "needs to close". however I think that these crashes are related to this thread
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=19068 along with all the other random crashes people experience with .98
now I know that its not any other process keeping it awake, since I can leave it on the desktop and it goes right to sleep. but I open GBPVR and it wont sleep (I think, I did this test this morning and was busy doing other things).
yes I know I need to narrow down the problem, and trust me, I will, but I wanted to get this out there in case there is a known issue that I should be aware of. also I will post some logs. hopefully tommorow (if I remember) since I have nothing to do... except play with my computers.
