distorted sound

On most channels, especially BBC 1 and 2, the sound is distorted. I get this in GB-PVR during playback and live tv, as well as in Xplayer 2.1. But in Xplayer 1.2 the sound is good! I thought I had seen a post earlier on how to change the volume but I can't find that anymore. Perhaps it was not in this forum.

I suspect the volume is just too loud. If you're on the main menu, the left and right buttons adjust the volume.

Is it possible to set the volume at a fixed level in gb-pvr or the registry?

I think this is possible but check out shspvr.com as they have a lot of info on the cards and have a tips/tricks section for regsitry hacks,
