Hi, would like to share an experience on loading dongles to multiple MVPs. Am not really sure about this, but this is something I just noticed recently.

I just restarted the system, and needed to reload dongles to my 2 MVPs. I had a hard time loading the dongles to the MVPs and always got stuck on 'Loading Application...', I kept resetting GBPVR, restarted machine to no avail. Anyway, I was finally successful when I decided to do it one at a time. I started the whole system, started the 1st MVP and let it load the dongle, it loaded quickly, then started the 2nd MVP, it loaded quickly and now am back in business. Somehow, starting both MVP at the same time is creating some sort of deadlock which prevented the dongle to be loaded.

Hope this info helps somehow loading multiple dongles at the same time. Maybe somebody can explain it better.
Win XP Pro SP 2

1 Seagate 1TB SATA HD
1 Seagate 750 GB SATA HD
1 Hauppauge PVR500MCE
2 MVP (2 Wired / 1 Wireless via 2 Linksys WRT54G routers)
1 dead MVP (searching for replacement)

I did these steps, however, I noticed that if I did the restart on the 2nd MVP while the 1st MVP is still loading, it gets stuck, then eventually both MVPs gets stuck. So I decided to finish first the 1st MVP, meaning I let it completely load and see the GBPVR interface before starting the 2nd MVP. This, at least for me, was how I was able to reload the dongles to the MVPs.

Don't really know but this was what happened to me. Well, these MVPs are strange beasts at best.

I've had to reboot my router before just to get one to complete loading. It's only a theory, but it feels like getting stuck loading the application is frequently due to packet loss.

Yes, sometimes I need to reboot the router as well to clean the whole network. Sometimes, I just turn off everything including my cordless phones, wait 5 minutes then turn on everything one at a time:

1. Turn on router
2. Turn on HTPC
3. Wait for full boot, restart GBPVR
4. Turn on wired MVP, complete the load
5. Turn network bridge
6. Turn on "wireless" MVP, complete the load
7. reconnect cordless phone
8. watch shows
