1) How does the manual transcode feature in the video library work? Does it begin transcoding as soon as I select it? Or, does it queue it up in some list to be taken care of at a certain time (like in the auto-transcode)?

2) I seem to have forgotten my second question, so I guess I will have to waste space and make another thread later (crap!)

It begins immediately.

WOW, I hadn't found this feature yet... Excellent.

Is there a GUI way in GBPVR to set start and end markers to pass to FFMPEG ? It seems to support it with :

-t duration'
Set the recording time in seconds. hh:mmConfuseds[.xxx] syntax is also supported.
`-ss position'
Seek to given time position in seconds. hh:mmConfuseds[.xxx]

I could then accurately trim the pre/post padding before archiving.

No there isnt. It'll transcode the whole file.
