My local cable provider (Time Warner) has recently changed up some channels. I updated the EPG, but the changes aren't being reflected in GBPVR.

Using Zap2It - I check my channel lineup on there and it shows the correct channels.

I'm thinking I need to empty the EPG and re-add. But I'd really like to avoid since that will cancel all my pending recordings and it's a pain to re-setup both my inputs (STB + Tuner).

Any ideas? Thanks!

It doesnt try to automatically cope with zap2it channel line up changes. You can either update the channels numbers in channel lists, or drop and recreate your capture sources.

In the "Edit Recording Source" screen, the "Empty EPG" button doesn't seem to do anything.

I click, click Yes to confirm, it does something for a few secs, then back to the previous dialog, but all the channels are still there.

What am I missing?

Empty EPG doesn't remove the channels, it only empties the program data. Try whay sub said, either update the channels' numbers by hand, or drop and recreate the capture source(s).
I'm not always right

Sorry to bring up an old tread, I have the same issue they change the channel from 98 to 25. I did manually update it on each of the capture sources but just get static on the channel. So I thought I would recreate all the capture sources but my question is will I lose any of the reoccurring scheduled recordings? If so is there a way to get them back with out manually scheduling them?

Yes.

No, not without manually rescheduling them.

Usually if they just move a channel or something similar, then you just go into the config app and enter the new channel number against the channel.

how about a way to create a list of them before the change, or backing up the folder and then going back and looking at them in some way.
I would have thought someone would have come up with a util for this already.

Sub, Thanks for the help. I think I was doing everthing in one step instead of multiple steps. What I did to fix it was went into config went into each capture source deleted the old channels clicked OK to close config, and then went back and opened up the config did an EPG update on each capture source to see the new channel was updated and all is well. Before I was trying to do everything with out restarting the recording service. Wink
