I recently upgraded to v. 0.98.13b. Strangely enough, although there are no problems using the TV Guide to watch live TV, the channels do not switch properly for scheduled recordings. I didn't have this problem with the prior version. Could it be something with my configuration? Thanks for your help.

Its something to do with permssions. The recording service gets an access denied messages when trying to run the HaupBlast.exe process.

Does it make sense that this problem only arises for recordings but not live TV? In any event, I tried installing the latest Blaster update so maybe that'll help.

Yes, since they run as different user accounts.

You could probably solve it by switching the recording service to run as your account (rather than localsystem).

Umm..I'm showing my newbie-ness again, but...could you please tell me how to do that? (Incidentally, the Blaster update didn't solve anything.) I should also mention that I never had this issue before upgrading to the latest version of GBPVR (which, coincidentally, was around the time I upgraded to the latest Internet Explorer version). Thanks again for your help!

In the Windows Start menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, right click on 'GBPVR Recording Service' to view properties, then on the 'Log On' tab select your account installed of the 'local system' account.

Hello I have a similar problem, I can get my MCE 2005 plug in to change channels when watching live tv...how ever when i set something to record, it does not change the channel. So you end up recording what ever channel is currently set on my sky box.

I'm running Version 0.9813B
I have MCE Remote/Blaster with Hauppauge 150.

Thanks for any help

Thanks, but I tried your suggestion, and that didn't solve the issue; now, I can't even watch live TV as I'm getting an error message that the target machine refused it (?).
