Hi Lindsay,

Thanks that could be a soulution, I have installed the application gbrecord and made the batch file. Great that you can run gbrecord in terminal server mode. I'm doing a test recording remote now. Hopefully it will work, thanks alot Big Grin

My problem is similar but a little different. I've had GBPVR working very nicely for almost a year now and I'm very happy with it. This was with a PVR150MCE running under XP Pro SP2. So I thought I'd build myself a faster machine and get a PVR500 as well. I set it all up using the latest and greatest drivers from Hauppauge (cd 26) and of course GBPVR 98.13, which I hadn't tried before. The aerial signals were all OK. (Is their a way of selecting which tuner you use? I've got a recollection of a thread some time ago, I'll just have to look it up). But, when I tried to set up the S-Video input Config tells me I haven't got the drivers installed. This was for all three tuners! So i went back and did a HCWclear and reinstalled them and WinTV2K as well. WinTV finds the S-Video picture but no sound and Config still tells me I haven't the drivers installed.
Anyway I've got 2 questions.
1) Is the message from Config a new addition? I never saw that in my old set-up running 96. to 97. versions of GBPVR.
2) I remember in the old days, a few months ago, Hauppauge used to offer the base drivers, some middleware drivers and the apps. They seem to have done away with the middleware drivers in their new releases. Could this be the reason for my problems? I've got to try and find the old drivers now, lurking on some hard drive in the cupboard, but if anyone has had similar problems and found the answer I'd be very grateful. I'll also try to check out the logs as well, but which one and what do I look for?

Finally I'd like to give a vote of thanks to Sub for all the work he's done and I just wish other manufacturers would follow his example.

Yes, this is not uncommon. Both my cards have it. It is an initialisation problem and messing with alternative dvrs didn't help with me. I have not fixed mine but I have an acceptable workaround. Look at my post at the end of this thread

sub Wrote:This is actually fairly common bug with the PVR150. They seem to have some driver initialization issues with some specific versions of PVR150.

All I can really suggest is trying a different versions of the drivers and hope you find one that does the job correctly.

I'm having the same problem and the initialisation problem seems to be only for channels that are configured using frequencies. If a channel is configured with a number then the sound works in my case. Moreover, after using a 'number' channel all of the 'frequency' channels suddenly work as well. Apparently, using a channel number initialises the card properly.

Would it be possible to patch the handling of the PVR150 (MCE) in GB-PVR in such a way that, upon startup, it will look for a channel number in the configuration ans uses that for say a few seconds before switching to normal channel?

Sorry, you'll need to talk to Hauppauge about this bug.
