I have the NVIDIA DualTV and PVR-150, along with the OnAir HDTV-GT. Everything analog works great as far as LiveTV is concerned. As for digital stations, thats another story. If I just fire up GBPVR, when I go to a digital station on LiveTv, I get the "No signal detected. Check cable....." error, with the no bar for quality, full bar for strength underneath. I must then close GBPVR, start the OnAir program and let the picture come up, close OnAir, then restart GBPVR and I will be able to see digital stations via LiveTV. It doesn't seem to matter if I close all the Windows MCE programs or not via administration tools. If I close them when GBPVR is running, it makes no difference. Does GBPVR seek a signal too quickly(then gives the error when it doesn't see one), because OnAir is a bit slow to deliver? If so, can GBPVR be set to seek longer? Any ideas appreciated as this cuts way down on the family user-friendly factor!

Thanks.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what I could do differently. I basically ask the device to tune to a specific frequency and it'll either succeed (manage to lock a signal) or fail (no lock). GB-PVR doesnt do any timing relating stuff - thats all done behind the scenes in the drivers.

Fatawan,
Do you see this on Digital cable, or Digital OTA?

If cable, is it possible to try OTA? sub did some special coding to get the QAM stuff working... and if you can reproduce it for *just* QAM, then I can narrow down where the problem may be.

Thanks,

Ryan--it's QAM--no OTA antenna here to test with--sorry. I messed with it some more, and I have to follow the exact sequence or it fails to work. MCE is off. Start GBPVR, attempt to watch digital channel. See error message and Black screen. Close GBPVR. Open OnAir(video is playing normally there). Close OnAir. Open GBPVR, go to digital channel, get the error message for a moment, then it starts normally. With each digital channel change, you get a brief "no cable connected....." error message, the the video comes up. Let me know what I can do to help.

Actually, if I start OnAir first, then shut it off, then start GBPVR, it works. I just can't go straight into GBPVR and watch digital TV.

I have been working with Ryan to get this straightened out. He can't reproduce this on his machines--he can go straight into GBPVR upon reboot and click a digital channel from the guide and it will come up after a brief delay(no error message). So, I reproduced it and I am attaching the logs to see if you can see anything Sub. Thanks.

After you called, Fatawan, I tried to reproduce what you were seeing. I still couldn't, no matter what I tried. I'd be curious if anyone else in this thread (or forum) has the same problem with their GT on QAM... (or a different tuner).

Thanks,
