Sorry, I wont be making any changes for the PVR350 tv out. Its already had far too much of my time on this issue in the past.

Ted the Penguin Wrote:have you tried forcing timeshift tv mode? that is basically recording whatever you watch and then viewing it while it is recording.

just a thought
How do I do that? I am pretty much willing to try anything...

I increased the amount of ms for live TV delay, and it seemed to have worked better (took longer for lock up). Unfortunately, it still did. Maybe if I can go beyond 4000 ms, I can get a better result?

Sub, sorry to hear that you spent so much time on it already. You are doing a great service to offer this piece of great software for free. Despite the bad news, I thank you for your prompt reply, not keeping me hanging.

I guess I would ask you to sometime down the line make it completely impossible to get to live TV, if live TV plugin is disabled, for unfortunate soul with this problem like me, so we can at least use it as a reliable recorder. I realize this is going to be no where near the high priority, but I'd appreciate it if you can keep it in back of your mind.

The PVR350 is always in timeshift mode, so this setting wont change anything.

oh, good to know

well, try hitting pause as soon as you start live TV, let it sit a little bit then try watching, see if that works

I'll give that a try. I have a feeling that may help.

I think the freeze happens more often when I flip the channel around quickly. Unfortunately that doesn't explain why it sometimes freezes when I turn off the TV by pressing Home key...

But even if that works, I guess it stinks that I can't just flip through the channels.

Thanks for your suggestion though.
