Hi,

I`ve been messing around with GBPVR for a few weeks now, and have read
lots of posts on these forums about loads of different aspects of the software.

One of the major issues is the use of different types of Mux`s when setting
GBPVR up, and I`ve tried lots of different Cyberlink ones, but kept reading
that the elusive 5.0.1307 Mux was quite a good one, but couldn`t find
a source.

I have spent a few days looking for a source of the Mux, especially a source
that is legal and free.

Anyhow, it looks like the MediaPortal 0.2.2 setup installation installs version
5.0.1307 of the Cyberlink Mux into your \Windows\System32\ folder as part
of it`s normal setup.

I thought I`d let people know that the setup file for MediaPortal 0.2.2 can
be found here:-

http://www.team-mediaportal.com/

I hope I`m not breaking any rules by posting this, and I`ve had a good think
about it and can`t see why I couldn`t post the link. It`s a free piece of
software that happens to contain the Mux we may be looking for, so don`t
see any problems. Please Sub, accept my apologies if this isn`t the case.

I`ve not used the Mux for long, so can`t comment on it`s usefullness yet,
but I`ll be doing some recording over the weekend with it, and I`ll report back
when I have some views. If anyone uses the Mux, could you please do the
same on this thread, and maybe we can build a picture up of it`s usefullness
or otherwise.

Cheers,

Highlander

This looks like the same mux as supplied with the twinham software (see post #7 here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16218) so I cant see any legal problems with using it.
If you use the twinham download you can extract the mux out of the installer without having to install anything on your PC though, but it's always good to have a second source Smile

PS it works fine!
