A800 Problems

I have a AverMedia A800 and I am having problems with the program scan... all it finds is "BBC HD1" not any other channels and so I am not able to map the EPG and so cannot go any further in the process...

Can anyone help please... I have downloaded the latest software from AverMedia and also tried uninstalling the drivers & apps and reinstalling from scratch.

If it's detecting BBC HD1 then that suggests you're in the London area (Crystal Palace)...or have they extended HD transmissions to other areas of the UK?

Have you done a forum search for AverMedia A800?

I can find two issues - one is driver-related but you say that you have the latest drivers. The other was related to the Showshifter mux. Try uninstalling Showshifter if you have it. Sorry - I didn't read the post closely so don't know what the relevance was.

Failing that - do another scan and zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files. I'm not sure when sub's back but I'll take a look and see if I can see anything.

I once selected the wrong transmitter in the dropdown, which yielded the result that I found a few stations that happened to be transmitted on a channel that was also used by the transmitter I chose in the dropdown, even though my roof top was pointed towards another transmitter. Ehh... confusing, hope you get the point: make sure you actually chose Crystal Palace in the drop down, if that's the transmitter you are using, just like Brian said
