LiveTV does not see my EPG! Help pls.

Hi,
I ran the config and used the XMLTV plugin to read my channels. I see that the channel names show in my config, but when i start LiveTV, it says channels have not been set ....

I tried running both as administrator. I am using Vista and latest version of GBPVR from the site. Please help

I was able to watch Tv ON GBPVR before i reinstalled vista, so i know it works...but why not this time?

Also, for some reason in the config, "empty epg" is not working too now. I have to manually delete each channel one by one.

I think this relates to the Vista file protection functionality. It causes havoc from software like GB-PVR that runs as up to three different user accounts (admin, current user, localsystem). Have a look under your 'my documents\Local\VirtualStore\..." directory, and delete a "program files\devnz" directory if you find one.

Empty EPG just removes the listings, not the channels. If you need to get rid of the channels, you're best to remove and recreate the capture source.

Thanks for the pointer, but thankfully the problem solved by itself. I had rebooted my pc, and power off my devices earlier, but i tried again. I removed the USB cable, rebooted my pc and PVR USB2. Waited for windows to finish login, and then connected the USB cable. It worked :p

Oh, the problem is back It seems that even though the config shows my channels successfully imported from the XMLTV file, GBPVR sometimes sees those channels, and sometimes not

I'd say its related to what I mentioned above, so I'd look into the VirtualStore directory.

Hmm. I think i MIGHT have found a solution. I right clicked the config.exe and gbpvr.exe and went to its compatibility tab. Here i have checked the option to run these as administrator, and now for the time beeing it seems to be working.
