Greetings,

I have my MVP and GBPVR up and running for the most part, but I am having a couple of problems.
The first one (and hopefully the easiest to solve,) is I am having trouble getting the aspect ratio to display correctly. I have a regular screen tv, but most of my MP4s (encoded with nero digital) are in widescreen format. All I seem to be able to do is either scrunch the picture into the 4:3 or lop off the sides. How do I get the MVP to display the picture in its original format?
I have also downloaded ZProcess, but I can't get that to do it for me either.
The other problem I am having is that I can not get all of my mp4's to play through the mvp. I can play them all fine on the computer using the gbpvr software, but not onto my tv.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The reason ZProcess doesn't help is it doesn't know anything about MP4. (That's because I don't)

If you are using the default install of FFmpeg, GB-PVR will not do any aspect ratio correction. So all your files should expand vertically. If some of your files won't even transcode, I'm not sure why. Maybe the files are encoded with different values... (bitrates, frequencies...)

I was gonna say, "If you would like me to add support for MP4s in ZProcess..." but then I cut to the chase, knowing you would... So, I'll add it soon...

In the meantime, I suggest you getting the latest gspot and looking at the specs of files that transcode and those that won't...

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

Well that was easy. Added support for MP4.

BUT... sorry to tease you, I won't be releasing this version just yet. I'm also working on something else, and I want it working first. I'll guess it's another couple of days yet...

AND... the method with which I determine the aspect ratio of the source MP4 uses MEncoder (actually it's mplayer) and it's not completely reliable... (Worst case is you stop the video and start it again. It seems to catch then...)
