WinTV-PVR150 remote works then doesn't

set up the remote to work with GB-PVR yesterday and it worked great, today it doesn't recognize it. have tried going back into GB-PVR to configure the remote, restarted IR per instructions, made sure the connection was firm, so I am perplexed. GB-PVR works just fine with the keyboard, but of course it would be better with the remote. I will try fresh batteries but these were just put in yesterday.
