When I play music the remote basically stops responding. I have found that it only does this when there is a visualization. So here is a rundown:

1- Start music and there is a small visualization in the bottom left corner.

2- Remote still works, but doesnt display anything on the screen unless in the main menu. Meaning, the area where it displays tracks it doesnt work. I can still stop fast forward switch songs etc.

3. Song finishes playing and the visualization goes away and normal functions resume. The next song plays WITHOUT visualization.

With a mouse I can still do everything.

I would like to have full control over the visualization. As it is, I cant even switch to full screen because the remote wont work.

I think there is a couple of bugs in this area. Unfortunately you'll have to wait until the next release is out before I can look at fixing these.

I was having the same problem...the only solution i could come up with was just turning off the visualizations during music playback. For me, this wasn't a huge loss; I'd rather lose the visualizations than not be able to use my remote during a song.

To turn off visualizations, edit the config.xml file:
Change <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>true</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>
to
<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>

simple enough

Thats too bad, I love full screen visualizations.

What about using an external media player? Can the remote control it and be able to go back to GBPVR correctly when the music is done?

By the way, GBPVR is awesome, good work!

Sorry, there is no built in support for using external media players.
