The usual way of controlling the MVP is via the IR remote control device. What I am looking for is a way to control it from other computers on my LAN, including the GBPVR computer.
Perhaps as a "remote control emulator"
A use case that I have in mind (just one of them) is like the following: On one computer (this could be the GBPVR server as well as some other computer), a picture has just been downloaded. A context menu on that file could include an item "Open on MVP". Selecting that would result in the TV displaying it.
Is this possible?
The effect would be the same as if I:
1. Placed the file in a photo library directory of GBPVR
2. Used the remote control to navigate to it, and display.
Any thought?
An alternative is if there was an icon on the desktop that I would drop the file on => MVP displays it on my TV set.
Something like that...
