Am I going to have to upgrade to 1.0.16 to use SchedulesDirect, or can I use that with my current (very stable, so I don't want to mess with it) 99.12 install?

You'll have to upgrade. You don't have to use PVRX2 though. You can still use the GBPVR.exe interface.

Thanks. That scares me a little, cause I'm using the totally unsupported software recorder plugin. Yes, one of these days I'll bite the bullet and get a hardware-based card, but that would cost money, which I don't have much of. Sad

I haven't looked at SD options myself, but I thought for sure one of them would allow for the creation/download of an xmltv file that 99.12 could use?

I believe SD does have an option like that but the functionality of logging into SD and pulling the EPG is only available in 1.0.16. Perhaps you could find another app compatible with SD that will pull the EPG for you.

It does allow an xmltv file so that should work with 99.12.

I upgraded to 1.0.8 and 16 and was using gbpvr for a while without any problems. You don't have to switch to PVRX2 when you upgrade to 1.0.16.

The safest way to upgrade for me was like this:

Stop the GBPVR recording service
Close the tray app.

Goto gbpvr directory, select gbpvr folder and choose copy. Then choose paste.
That will create a folder in the devnz directory called "copy of gbpvr"

Proceed with the 1.0.16 upgrade. If it works, great. If you want to go back, uninstall 1.0.16, delete gbpvr directory. Rename "copy of gbpvr" to gbpvr and install 99.12.

As far as I can tell the sleep timer plugin doesn't work for vers >99.12, I can't run my bdr pvr without a sleeptimer Sad

That's what I do when I upgrade as well. Is the database in that directory?

Thanks, everyone. I'll give the new version a try this weekend.
