I have my setting set at either 5 days or 14 days, but no matter how many times I click on "update EPG" I get programming not past two or three hours from when I hit that button - everything after that is BLANK.

I was getting this with Zap2IT, and figured they'd just lost their minds so I just upgraded to ChannelsDirect, but SAME PROBLEM!!!

When I was using Zap2It I think it complained about a bad ending date, but I've downloaded the DLL fix (GBRBackendCommon) and that error went away, but STILL - TWO HOURS OF PROGRAMMING! How can I plan with that?

Very frustrated...

Trying to see if my log files will attach this time?

Ah...I didn't hit "upload". New to this. Sorry.

Code:
Requesting listings for the period: 2007-08-25T00:00:00Z to 2007-08-30T23:59:59Z
The endTime you specified T23:59:59Z is not in a valid format, and has been corrected to a default value.
I suspect you will need to wait for sub to return home before he can look into this although I'm not sure if it's something he can fix on his end. Others are reporting this issue as well. Some have fixed it by changing the MTU on their machine but It seems to be an issue on the TMS side of things.

See http://forums.schedulesdirect.org/viewto...?f=5&t=105 for reference.

(As Pink Floyd once said....)

The one person who replied to my question said:

"I suspect you will need to wait for sub to return home before he can look into this "

(Who is "sub" and when is he coming home? )

"although I'm not sure if it's something he can fix on his end. "

(If not, what am I supposed to do ? Give up on GBPVR?)

"Some have fixed it by changing the MTU on their machine"

(I went to Microsoft's help, article 283165, and found the registry key for this, changed it to 1480 but it didn't change anything. I'm getting TWO HOURS of programming)

"but It seems to be an issue on the TMS side of things."

(I don't know this particular TLD -- 'Three Letter Definition')

See http://forums.schedulesdirect.org/vi....php?f=5&t=105 for reference.

(Nothing moving forward on that thread, either.)

Is there any way to tell whether or not a particular problem has been noticed by the "higher powers" and is being worked on, or do you just wait without knowing whether anyone at all is out there in Cyberspace and wonder if you're typing to yourself?

Would it help if I said my real name is Inge and I'm a tall, svelt blonde on the Swedish Women's Volleyball Team??? ;-)

I haven't been able to program anything in over two weeks now....

You could try another EPG system until someone really answers you.

And sub is the lead/only programmer for GBPVR and he's on vacation all over the world right now.

A list of EPG options for the US/Canada is available here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/EPG

And i'd recommend not giving up on gbpvr, i've tried the others.

You're on his website and using his program. He is on vacation and will be home sometime next week.

I suspect you would have trouble with any other software using Schedules Direct as well.

ddferran Wrote:(I went to Microsoft's help, article 283165, and found the registry key for this, changed it to 1480 but it didn't change anything. I'm getting TWO HOURS of programming)
As I said, it only worked for some people.

ddferran Wrote:(I don't know this particular TLD -- 'Three Letter Definition')
TMS = Tribune Media Services.
Parent company of Zap2It.
Supplier of data to Schedules Direct.
Owns the servers from which you are having trouble downloading.

I'm sure that Robert, Chris or someone else on the SD team have contacted TMS regarding the issue. When a response will be forthcoming (from TMS), I could not even begin to guess.

See above. You could post in that SD forum to add your voice to the others having trouble.

Not with me. I can't speak for the SD team.

You could try using the new XMLTv to download the data and have GB-PVR import the file but I suspect you will have the same issue. It may be worth a try though.
