When recording a programme with teletext subtitles, I've configured GBPVR to capture the subtitles to a .SRT-file. This works fine. The problem I'm having is with the timing of the subtitles in the .SRT-file. The subtitles start out in sync, but start to slip more and more out of sync while playing. The weird thing is, there doesn't seem to be any logic in how much the subtitles are out of sync or whether they lag behind or appear too early. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix, or is there something wrong with my configuration?

I'm using version 1.0.16 (PVRX2).

Read this thread and especially the 2nd and 3rd page and see if it helps.

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. I assume you mean this utility? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=21

It sounded promising but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I tried it on a .SRT-file I recorded the other day, and while it did adjust the timings in the right direction, it was still off by over 30 seconds in the end. The original timing being off by approximately 35 seconds in the end (the recording is 1h 25 min long). Got any other stuff I could try? Smile

That program adjusts the timng 3.6 seconds per hour which is the ratio of 29.97/30. Yours are off much more. I could modify the program to allow you to enter a custom ratio as another option, but it sounds like your captions are off in either direction which this wouldn't fix. I think I'll modify the program anyway and you can test it out and see if it works for you.

Check out the other thread. I posted an update to the program that allows you to enter the number of seconds per hour you want the captions to slide. Just replace the srtmod.exe file. Sounds like you need to enter 35 for the time option.
