Thanks so much for your quick responses. I cant tell you how much I appreciate your help.
First, I updated yesterday to 1.0.8 by mistake. I am not sure how but I did. Duh....
I just got though updating to 1.0.16. I found schedules direct.

However when I update the EPG it got to the point of providing the message that it was "saving new listings and channel information" then it threw this really long execption " your epg souce not configured correctly, Pleas check settings. system.net socketexception: no connection could be made because target machine actively refused it. " Is that a problem on my end?

If it wasnt so dark, I would rather be water skiing.....

After upgrading to 1.0.16, did you remember to apply that patch from the 'v1.0.16 survival guide' thread?

Never mind... I deleted everything and started over. I can get the epg loaded. I suspose that somewhere along the way I hosed up my database.
However its time for a new thread.

Thanks anyway.

You have copied the gbpvr.db3 database file from a previous release onto your v1.0.16 install. You cant do this. These files are not compatible between releases. By doing this you end up with a database that is missing things that the current release expects to be present.

To retain your data from an older release you have to do an upgrade from the older release, and during this GB-PVR will update your existing database's structure to match the required structure.

Yeah, I found the thread that indicated that. I am not sure when/why I did that, I know better.

There was a thread that I remember but cant find, that provided either a tool or method for reloading a trashed database with all of the recorded tv shows.
Its late, GB is working, my mvp is finding the server and the wife can record next week. Thanks for your help.
