I am using a Hauppauge remote with my pvr250 card and cannot get it to work with gbpvr. I went into config select it then hit the 34 button option. Then went out and restarted ir.exe with no luck. Any ideas?

Is the remote responding at all?
Open notepad and save an empty text file as Debug.txt
Then with this file open and the focus on notepad, hit the remote buttons.
The codes should appear within notepad...

Isn't hauppauge 250 the one with "tv out" that doesn't work with 1.0.16 (or1.0.8)? I think you can still install the new version but use gbpvr.exe instead of pvrx2. Once sub drops the gbpvr.exe option, I think you will need a new hauppauge card -150, 350 or higher.
[sorry, I misread the post. I didn't realize your problem related only to the remote control]

That's the 350 with the TV out

sonnybadbutt - make sure that the dongle is plugged in correctly into the card. sometimes you need to fiddle with it to get it to sit properly.

I can get it to work with win2000 ap no problem. it doesn't like GBPVR. In the ir.ini is there something in it that correlates to GBPVR as mine has no mention.

Unless the file has changed, I think it would be irremote.ini. Maybe it's different for your version.
There should be a section for GBPVR and for PVRX2. But since it doesn't work in notepad there must be another problem. Do you have more than one tuner card?

Well Pastro have an update. Now the card is working. Don't know what happened but it seems to be doing what is suppose to do. ! quck question though. How do you get the remote to launch gbpvr or can it? I know it does the win2000 ap that came with the tuner card.
