I just got GBPVR setup and it works pretty well for the most part. However, for some reason some channels are desynced after a while. On NBC especially, I've tried using purevideo's audio decoder to output to my receiver as well as ac3filter and both had the problem. I see some threads about recorded video being desynced, but not for live tv, any advice?

Have you tried changing the video decoders? Sometimes I get choppy panning and have to hit rewind/FF quickly, or exit, re-enter live TV. In my case I have the sneaking suspicion that it's because my 6600 isn't keeping up with the PureVideo decode algorithm, causing de-syncing. What hardware are you using?

Try different muxes. Cyberlink and MS-DVR both go out-of-sync particularly on one channel if I leave it on for hours, or sometimes it's just OOS on a short recording. ATI mux fixed all my problems except then after a couple weeks and now after a reformat it screws up the entire first track (AC3) of audio so is completely unusable.

Hmm, I wonder if the ATI mux screwing up is related to when I turned off mpeg2 acceleration on my ATI video card. Stranger things have happened. I'll have to mess with that.

Remember that while GBPVR may list the muxes you don't actually have them unless you installed them, and use Mux Checker to see what you have.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Yea, I was using purevideo too with a geforce 6800, the playback on some channels was pretty jerky too despite the cpu utilization at 10%. I tried out Nero, which works out to be alittle better. The cyberlink and intervideo codecs seem to have considerably worse de-interlacing. This might be a dumb question, but how do I timeshift everything?
