Skip Forward/Back

From my keyboard, Skip works at the number seconds assigned to Default skip size in Config. However, from my Hauppauge remote it only moves 10 seconds at a time. How can I make it use the Default settings?

Also, what is the Manual Skip timebase for? I/ve tried both Seconds and Minutes but it doesn't make any difference.
