Alright guys, Having issues here.

TO start, I recently had this same hardware working perfectly (GB-PVR wise) under MCE 2005. However, I was having some issues, so I formatted and went back to XP Pro. Now, I cannot watch TV.

The Error I am getting is this:

I know the drivers for the card (AverMedia M780) are correctly installed. I know it works, because I used it with GB-PVR 4 hours ago in Windows MCE 2005. I am just clueless... Any help is much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Sub's gonna need more logs in order to analyze. Especially the config logs and I think also the recording service logs... Are you sure you have chosen the correct type (AverMedia M780) of capture card in the config app?

Yes, I am sure I have selected the correct Tuner card.

Attached all of my logs. They may be a little different than the previous ones. I deleted the PVRX2.exe.log file to get the error in a smaller log file.

Hm... I don't see anything obvious, other than that it can't find the card... I'm sure sub will be able to help once he sees this. In the meanwhile, try running ReRegisterFilters.bat and see if that helps (long shot, but...)

Tried it. Sadly, no dice.

I find myself wishing I had just copied the whole GBPVR folder from my other windows installation. Hindsight..

There is no drivers on that machine matching the card you have selected.

Run the filtecheck.exe utility from the GBPVR directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log that gets created and I'll take a look.

Thanks for checking that out. I ran FilterCheck like you requested. The log file is attached.

I am a computer tech and it kills me when I can't fix a problem, so in a last ditch effort, I got it working.

I uninstalled my Tuner and uninstall GBPVR. I ran CCleaner. I rebooted my computer and reinstalled my Tuner. Then, I redownloaded GBPVR and reinstalled it. I set my capture up the same way as before and it works like a charm. I don't understand it, but I am glad it worked.
