Possible solution to Vista dongle.bin problem?

I saw on Hauppauge's website that they had a beta version (3.4.???) of their software out that they claimed worked with Windows Vista 32-bit. I downloaded it, installed it, disabled the Hauppauge services and copied the dongle.bin to the GBPVR dongle directory. So far (a couple of hours), I haven't had any problems (knock on wood). Has anyone else tried this?

It's got the same basic problem that all the Vista dongles have had for me. Go to the main and hit the down arrow about 5-10 times it will start to stall and after a few more keystrokes it crashes.

Huh...guess I'm the lucky one, then this time. I watched it for hours last night...scrolled through the guide, manually skipped through commercials...everything that I would normally do...no problems. Strange...

the gbpvr version i am running is 1.3.11 and the config page has a note on it saying there is a compatability issue with the dongle file and vista to see forums for recomendations. so any ideas on how to solve this.
