Yes it won't play in GBPVR either. I believe that when I used the Microsoft mux it played in GBPVR but I have changed the audio and video decoders and mux so many times trying to find the right combination, that I'm not totally sure which combination did.
To further explain as I recall when I used the TS option it wouldn't play in GBPVR but played on the DSM520 but with no audio. No matter what choices I made it had no audio when streamed to the media server.
If my logs provide the right information when I use the XP boot it works flawlessly in GBPVRas well as my media lounge.
You wont be able to play it in GB-PVR unless you install a TS source filter like the Haali media spliter or HDTV Pump.
I cant think of any reason the audio would play on your DSM520 unless your upnp software that delivers the file to the device is somehow not working correctly on Vista.
Is there anything that you can distinguish between the Xp logs vs the Vista logs that give any clue? I have tried to re-register the filters and I do get error messages form Vista. Could this be causing my problem? Would it be of any help to do new recordings on both XP and Vista and send you new logs?
The Vista logs looked fine. The XP log zipfile didnt actually contain a GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log file that showed a recording occurring, so there was nothing to compare it to.

If you want to run ReRegisterFilters.bat on a Vista machine, you need to run a command prompt as administrator, then run the batch file from there.

You can try if you like, but I dont expect I'm going to see anything. That Vista log looks fine.
My problem appeared to have been due to bad digital channel mapping on my part. Have successfully created QAM recordings and been able to play them back on my DSM 520.
