Using Composite Source?

Hi,

I am currently using my sky box to feed my hauppauge 1100 card and it works fine with WinTV with recording etc but the only thing is that I cannot set a schedule to record.

I can set an autoview reminder on the sky box it is just the PC I need to find a way to record at a certain time from this source.

I just wondered how I setup this source on GBPVR as I had a play about but cannot find this?

the hvr 1100 uses software for mpeg encoding so you will not be able to capture through the composite into gbpvr

Unfortunately the HVR1100 lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder, so cant be used for analog TV in GB-PVR. If you'd had the HVR1300 you would have been ok.

Will this only work with cards with encoders built in then?

Is there any other software which can do this?

media portal may work
but i hope you have fast machine
for quality analog recording a hardware encoder card is alot better if you have the money go buy one even when using with other software you will see the pluses
