hey tv showman i agree if you could scan and get the meta data it would be great
if you move files from one hard drive to another on my system the meta data is still there
its just it points to the wrong hard drive

but what i want to know do you have seperate folder for each show ?
reason i ask is mpeg import for me doesnt search sub directories yet you say you can import lots of shows all at once

Yes I had to have PVRX2 create directories when it records movies and it places tv series in the same folder and there is no problem. If you only have movies in a folder with no directories then Mpegimport get's confused and labels the files as the folder name and thus makes things harder to filter in PVRX2. The only gripe i have with having most files in their own folder is that you cannot use the play all feature in the video folder since PVRX2 won't seek out the files in each folder so that option to "play all" random is only good for a series.. sigh

I have put dozens of cool shows and movies in a single folder so I can use the play all feature to auto select something for the 14 hours I work at home each day

makes the day go by better when it plays something random I haven't watched yet

i figured out why mine wouldnt find the files
had to have a sub folder
i had "E:\ " (didnt work)
had to add a folder so now its E:\folder (does work)
so now i can scan whole harddrives
and it finds all my shows it doesnt always seem to find the meta data but if you just scan one file it does then
but its random which files loose their meta data

im happy enough as long as it puts the recording back in the recordings folder
