I have this same issue (or thought I did). I couldn't catch up to the current time in watching the Packers vs Cowboys on the GBPVR PC in my office. But I noticed that my wife (watching the same game) was at the same place I was and was caught up according to the MVP. We flipped the TV to NBC (instead of the MVP input) and saw that she was at about the same place as the actual broadcast. So I guess the real problem is with the tuner (Hauppauge PVR500) or GBPVR thinking it has recorded more than it actually has, but only on the recording PC and not on MVPs. My laptop display died or I'd see what a GBPVR client would do.

On my PC, the time behind increases as the recording progresses. I was about 10 seconds behind 30 minutes or so into the recording, but after half-time I was like 10 minutes behind.

I guess it's not too huge of a deal if it's just the time displayed and I'm not actually "behind".

This is a known bug that unfortunately may never get fixed. See this thread.
