problem reading mediacenter files

for a while (6 months) since i bought a new PC with Vista - I have had a lot of problem also withgetting GBPVR and MVP to work. I have also been building on the house so I just used Windows mediacenter for a while.
Now I am trying to start using the MVP and GBPVR again.
I use the MVPMC dongle which seems to make some of it to work - I can see GBPVR screen om MVP - it crashes though when trying to watch a recordoing made by windows Mediacenter (...dvr.ms which I added .mpg.

Is those recordings not supported on MVP?

If you have the Cyberlink mux installed, it will try to convert .dvr-ms files to .mpg files for playback on the MVP. It may not work with .dvr-ms files generated by media center though, as these contain DRM. .dvr-ms files generated by GB-PVR or apps should work fine though.

Yes it does, but you have to use the mvpmc dongle to get it working with Vista. That's a very good dongle BTW, so no reason to use something else anyway
