I am trying to use GBPVR as a client. I am not able to set share paths for "Recordings Share" and "TV Buffer Share" textboxes as both these textboxes as well as the browse button next to them are disabled. There is already some text in the disabled textboxes (something like \\hushpc\MyVideos) but this is totally wrong as there is no such path on my LAN. What am I missing here?

Thanks,
Khurram.

Depending on if you are using streaming or filesharing client/server methods some of them will be grayed out. I believe if you are using streaming, no shares can be input because the server streams it to them versus the filesharing method where the client goes and grabs it from the shares specified in that area with the hushpc in it. The hushpc is just a placeholder for your actual share name.

I believe, if memory serves me right, streaming allows for better livetv viewing, and filesharing method allows for digital files (dvr-ms) to be viewed but livetv won't work right.

I'll let others comment on how correct any of that is, but I am sure that one mode will gray out some of those options.

Thanks for your reply. I am using streaming as its supposed to give better performance. I think you may be right in stating that these 2 options are not needed as I can watch livetv (timeshifted) on the client.

Yep, these two boxes are not needed in the client setup, the path's are already in the config.xml on the server.
