Ok, I'm totally new. I've been using Sage, but I wanted to check out GB PVR so I downloaded it last night. I didn't have time to play around with it much, but it seemed like I lost my rewind/pause buffer whenever I went to the menu or to the TV guide. Is this right? This worries me a little because that means that if you pause to answer the phone, when you come back you have to get caught up to the live feed before you ever even look at the guide, or else you will lose all the show that it's been buffering.

Have I got this right? Is there a way to work around it?

Yes, you have it right. Thats the way it works.

Hit "pause" when the phone rings. Dont hit menu.

a workaround for this is to record the show you want to watch and then go to recordings "current" (sorry I have switched to swedish in my GBPVR) and then open the recording on the way.

This way I can switch to tv guide or something else - or as it happened to me accidently press menu without getting lost. When I go back to recordings I use resume.

This is a little awkard though - it would be lovely to have a skin/plugin that would ease this tasks
- one button in menu to record a channel and start watching the recording
- another button where I can choose from ongoing recordings (when having more than one tuner) and start watching with 1-2 clicks.

Using DELL P4 1.5GB RAM 250 GB HD + DLINK DNS313 netdisk 1,5TB, 2 pieces of Hauppauge PVR150 w/45-button remote, 1 Popcorn Hour 110. Win XP SP3. GB-PVR v1.4.7 Plugins: Xrecord

So if I have my live tv buffer on a different hard drive than my recording buffer, when watching a show delayed, I can exit to the menu and then click back on that channel and resume where I left off, or will it go back to live like it does now?
I had this problem last night when I accidentally hit rewind instead of replay, lost the sound, exited to the menu to get my sound back, and clicked back to the channel I was watching only to find the closing credits. Thus missing the last 15 minutes of the movie. [Image: sad.gif]
