Yes I have it trained to Cyberlink in the options with no success ... I presume it's installed and functional as gbpvr config recognizes it. Doesn't config search for the available installed decoders in the selection list?

My current strategy is to try all the H264 decoders config can select and if none works try installing Power DVD7 which another forum member previously used successfully with the dongle. Any other suggestions?

I tried installing cyberlink's power DVD 7 but neither do the new filters display any video. There must still be something wrong with the installation process within gb pvr.

I've only seen your logs showing your attempts to use the ArcSoft decoder. Post some logs showing the attempt to use the Cyberlink H.264 decoder and I'll take a look.

I dont think there was any H.264 decoder in PowerDVD6, and I think PowerDVD7 only had it in the 'ultimate' version.

Hi,

Thanks for all the help. Just as I was about to generate a new log file, I discovered the problem. The H264 decoder was set to system default. I had been reconfiguring only the mpeg2 decoders. The Arcsoft H264 decoder works with GB-pvr on my machine, so I can figure out any more tweaks from here since I now have both video and audio running.

Quite a victory for the macbook intel as an XP machine!
