So I've dug through both the Wish List and the Support forums and couldn't find anythign regarding this.  I have GBPVR recording a full season of several different shows, and they all have a similar problem: they'll record multiple copies of the same episode.  For example, I have New Yankee workshop on Season Record.  I recorded 2 episodes in the last 24 hours:

1) Recorded: 1/5/2005 4:00AM - 4:30 AM
2) Recorded: 1/6/2005 3:30AM - 4:00 AM

And if I open either of them, I get the same info:
Wall-Mounted Tool Chest
Woodworker's hanging tool-chest.

Obviously this is the same episode.  Is there a feature that I can enable that won't record duplicate episodes like this?  Thanks.

Edit: sweet typo in the thread name. Sigh.

Sub, I hate to ask but do you know if this feature (detection of duplicate recordings) will be added in any upcoming release?

Read this http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin....;t=3630
It talks about the timeslot being 2 Hours plus & Minus plus how to change it. This might help a little.
Now if Sub can add a feature to "record this time slot this day of week"

Ron take a look at the CDK scheduler.  It supports no duplicates by tracking each recording that is successful and logging it into a database, so if it is ever rescheduled it will be removed. You can manage it inside xrecord. Also you get the feature you wanted "record this time slot this day of week"

Can also set priorities.

Hello, my first post here. I looked at CDK scheduler in the wiki and I'm very confused.

When I tried to install XRecord and CDK scheduler it asked if I wanted to overwrite some files and I didn't know if I should say yes or no or in what order they should be installed.

Can you give a quick rundown of what I need to install and maybe a quick example of how to use CDK scheduler? I know that's asking alot but I tried it myself and I think I messed up because when I tried to schedule stuff, nothing seemed to change.

Install CDK scheduler over xrecord. It should not matter but that is the best bet. You will need to download the priority xml file from wiki, check out cdk scheduler.

The scheduler runs every night after the EPG update. So you will not see anything change until you run the batch yourself updateepg.bat or one day passes.

Thanks a bunch, I'll do a fresh install of gbpvr and try again.

I'll also try to update the Wiki over the next several days to include a high level tutorial on setting up a PriorityRecordings.xml file manually as well. I'll cover a couple of different scenarios, and relate them back to the current GBPVR settings.
