GBPVR Cannot Start BDA Device...

Hello,
When I open up the tuning assistant for digital side of my HVR-1600, it will load the digital channel mapping screen, show an error "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use", and then it crashes with an exception. I have tried deleting the device and creating a new one but the new device exhibits the same behavior. I have made sure the latest Hauppauge drivers are installed as well as all other drivers on my system. System specs and logs follow.

There seems to be a problem with your Vista install or at least the BDA component.

You can try right clicking c:\Windows\inf\bda.inf and selecting "Install".

Also, if you made any changes to your .ini files and left any sort of mistake, u will also get this error - I learned the hard way ;-)

I haven't made any changes to the .ini files. I tried what you said sub and that didn't work. It gives the same error. Does WinTV not use the Vista BDA device? It can tune digital stations just fine.
