Hi
I am sorry to post the silly question.
I am new user. I searched the web and downloaded the GBPVR10209.msi
and installed. Then I edited the "bda.ini" to include HDHOMERUN addition
as described in the web.

How do I add the "External Recorder" to the GB-PVR config ?
I have HDHOMERUN, and I want to use GBPVR to view and record.
Is there a simple guide (all in one and self contained) that anyone can
point me to?
Thanks in Advance.

I'm not sure what "External Recorder" is, but maybe take a look at these recent HDHomeRun instructions: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36634

Thanks for your reply.
I used the information in the URL you mentioned here to add the info
in to "bda.ini".

When I go through the Configure Source settings, I am not able to select
"US-CABLE" as the swource of rf signal, or I can not even select
"USA" in the place of country.

I think my question is How to set the Source settings to get the
Comcast cable signal for tuning the HDHOMERUN box?

I think my settings are not correct.
Thanks

The default frequency files a fine for most people. Did you hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button to get it to scan?

Yes I did. Then it was scanning ther channel. Went through 1 to 138 or so
channels. Came back and said No signal/Channels found.

I was using Totalmedia 3.5. When I tune to WDCR (NBC HDTV chan),
I can only see the video, no audio is coming.
But for other channels both (video& audio) are OK.

Then I thought that I would try GB-PVR no luck.
Then I tried Mediaportal and that was a big struggle with no luck.

If I can find out why I can not receive audio in only that Channel, I will be ok
for what I need.
Thanks

Try using the attached qam.ini. Place it in your C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\Atsc folder but back up the existing one first.

This one starts scanning at channel 70 and uses the center frequency. Most people do not have any qam channels lower than that.
