No sound from DVD over HDMI

DVD plays picture OK but no sound

Media Player plays DVD with the sound

Recordings and live tv all play fine

xp pro, gbpvr 1.2.13, onboard ATI HD audio

What audio codecs are you using? would be my only guess, but its just that a guess, someone with knowledge will be along shortly

As said above, what audio codecs are you using? For DVD you need something that'll decode DolbyDigital/DTS (like AC3 Filter) but for most live TV you dont, which is probably why it is working but DVD playback isn't.

I would think that if WMP plays the sound that you must have a filter installed for the codec type - you may just have to set the audio decoder & renderer under the DVD tab in the config app.
