AVI (MPEG4 XVID) File Plays OK on PC, MVP but Not OK on PCH (via GBPVR)?

I imported an AVI file which is MPEG4 XVID (See MediaInfo) and the File Plays

• OK on the PC,
  
• OK on the MVP (presumably by transcoding),
  
• OK natively (not via GBPVR) on the PCH
  
• But it does NOT play OK via GBPVR on the PCH? It just "jumps out" back to the menu screen.
  

Mediainfo and logs attached?

Could you download the current installer and select just the interact with desktop option. Right now the NMT server is not enabled. Occasionally I did find this required I restart Windows

Will do, but I had manually (some time ago after the original 137 install ) selected the "interact with desktop option" for GBPVR rec service, which is still enabled.

Try and disable it, you might see an error when you apply caused by an earlier problem in one of the installers.

This is becoming more and more bizarre.

I did what you said, d/l NMT Installer and JUST selected "the interact with desktop option". Rebooted PC and couldn't get into GBPVR on the PCH at all. Discovered (via message attached) that there was no recording service at all now in services.msc (see also message below).

Did a repair install off the 137 msi (which leaves interact UN-checked). This got me into GBPVR on teh PCH. All well and good. Tried my avi/mpeg4 file. No Good. Then checked the interact and can play that file (Ireland vs New Zealand) but now cannot play the non-imported files (e.g. Little Nicky) via the PCH :confused::confused:

I also have a (probably unrelated) issue, since using the installer, of a file called Program appeaaring in the root of C: drive which causes a message to pop up "There is a file or folder on your computer called C:\Program"

I would suggest an uninstall and then reinstall rather than repair. I had the repair do this to me a couple of times in testing.

OK I did a complete uninstall/reinstall.

It's worse, unfortunately. I can play the imported file, but when I try to play normal files (e.g. movies) I see a very brief flicker of the start of the show, then a black screen and nothing. I have to pull the plug to reset. Any suggestions .... :-) ???? (Yes, I have interact checked, without it I get no GBPVR menu at all)
