This is probably a quickee.

Channel 28 is WGN out of Chicago. It has always shown up in Config in "edit recording source" as "28 WGNSAT", and has worked fine.

Lately, the EPG shows no programming info, but hte channel still works. I open the EPG XML file and see teh name has changed to "28 WGNAMER" for the display name in the format I have been using.

In config I tried "Update EPG", but the name did not change.

How do I get teh new name to go into GBPVR so I get the correct listings?

Probably simple...

Thanks again

Probably best to delete the channel (new and old names), then update the epg to pull in the channel. If its a digital capture source, you'll also need map the new channel before you can use it.

Thanks

With the 'remove' button in the capture source channel lists. After deleting from each capture source you may need to hit the 'remove unreferenced channels' button too (on Channels tab).

Hi,

I have a very similar problem but I do not see how to fix it:

1. In my guide listings "58 MC4" appears as the channel name.
2. I can record manually off this channel.
3. The problem is that there are no guide listing data.
4. In my xmltv file the channel is now called "58 HBOCHDL" - listing data is present.

I use IR Blaster with Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600.

I have tried checking and unchecking the checkmarks next to these items in
the channel lineup and reimporting the listing data to no avail.
How do I update ALL channel listings with the new channel names as they change?

You probably need to use the 'remove' button to delete the old "58 MC4" channel, then edit the channel number of "58 HBOCHDL" to make it "58". That channel is most likely at the end of the list with some randomly allocated channel number, since '58' was already in use.
