This is the version of ffdshow that I am using. ffdshow_beta6_rev2527_20081219.exe. When I get these machines off the bench I will go and try the reregister of the filter.

That's a 32 bit build so you should be fine there. I would try the reregistering. If that doesn't work, I'll load and try that build later tonight after my wife goes to sleep.

Re-registered the files, even went so far as to do a completed re-install of ffdshow, and things have remained the same when I do a graphstudio. Hopefully you will be able to replicate this problem and find a resolution for it.

I'm not able to replicate the problem. Do you have UAC enabled by any chance? Also, can you save the graph to an xml file and zip and post it?

As an aside, I followed Whurlston's instructions and it's working fine for me.

This is an XP system, Ommina, wouldn’t let me go for Vista. Too much overhead for what the OS is being used for. Any ways here is the latest graph file.

Ah, it's now loading the ArcSoft Audio Effect HD. I suspected this might be the case. Lower the filter merit on that as well (Unlikely + 1 should work). Then log out and back in and see if it works.

And so that was a successful change. I had changed the merit on one of the Arcsoft Audio’s, but not the other. Sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes to see things, plus not being 100% sure of what I am/was doing didn’t help. My story and I am sticking to it. Thanks for the help, we are now it glorious 5.1 sound again.
