remote not working with 23.13

recently upgraded to 23.13 and am using it with mvp connected to TV. it seemed to work ok for a short while, but it seemed to reset itself quite often when navigating back to menu after playing a recording.
now however, the im getting no rtesponse from Haupp remote, even when trieing the reset button. the mvp light flashes in response, but nothing happens on-screen. I've checked batteries and tried running GBR from the PC...all fine.

is this version compatible with MVP as there is another post with similar problem

Yes, it is compatible.

Are you running the GB-PVR MVP server manually, or using the 'auto start servers' setting in the config app? You should be using the later.

I am new to this and have not used previous versions of GB-PVR.

This looks similar to the problem that I was having with the MVP and 45 button remote (came with my MVP).  The remote would not work unless I first loaded the Hauppauge MVP application which came with a new Dongle.bin file (came with the Hauppauge MVP sofware and different from that in GB-PVR v23.13) by unplugging and re-plugging the MVP.

I can then turn off the Hauppauge server and run the GB-PVR server.  The GB-PVR software then syncs up.  Apparently the MVP stores the dongle.bin file, which controls the remote, when it loads the Hauppauge Application upon unplugging and replugging.  Turning the MVP on and off with the remote has not been a problem.

I have attempted to copy the new remote dongle.bin file to GB-PVR to avoid having to use the Hauppauge software to load the initial Application but GB-PVR locks up when loading the GB-PVR Application if the plug gets pulled or the power otherwise goes out on the MVP.

Then back to step one....Turn off the GB-PVR server, turn on the Hauppague server, unplug the MVP, plug the MVP to load the initial Hauppauge Application, turn off the Hauppauge server, turn on the GB-PVR server - GB-PVR then syncs up just fine.

Fortunately the power doesn't go out often.

sorry for not getting back...

this was driving me nuts, in the end managed to get hold of another remote, and it worked straight away!!

dont know how, but obviously the remote was fried, odd that my MVP LED still flashed indicating that it was receiving something
