Mouse clicks need a mouse move also?

Hi:

I've searched the boards, but I haven't seen this one:
In the record & search menus (& submenus), I need to move the mouse slightly in order for the mouse clicks to respond.

I use a trackball, so the pointer doesn't move at all unintentionally, as with a mouse. I can 2X click on an item till I'm blue in the face, but the item won't select until I move the pointer a bit.

NEWSFLASH: I've just discovered, however, that if I 3X click an item, it will select.

This phenomenon doesn't happen in the TV Guide area. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?? Should I just train myself to 3X click???

I don't know of anyone else having this problem. Have you played with the double click speed in windows?

Yes, it's true to get a quick reponse from a mouse click you must click and move. You will get a reponse if you don't move it just takes longer.
