I recently upgraded to version 1.3.11 and now it won't wake my Vista Basic computer up from sleep mode to start a recording. Prior to this it would wake the system up. Do to my own stupidity my original GB-PVR was deleted (not he PVRX2, just the GB-PVR). I don't know if this is the source of the problem or not, but it happened on the same day. I restored the program from the recycle bin, but still don't see GB-PVR in the folder, just PVRX2. Do I need to do a reinstall to get it to wake the computer up from sleep to record a show or is there some easier fix? Everything else is working perfectly. Thanks!

You can check what time GB-PVR is asking for the machine to be awake by looking in your GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log? You'll find messages like "Asking Windows to be awake for recording..."

If you can see these messages and no errors listed on the next line, then GB-PVR has successfully asked Windows to be awake at the required time, but for whatever reason Windows isnt doing that.

There is a message "VERBOSE Asking Windows to be awake for recording (oid: 53) at 2009-3-8 18:58:30 (UTC 2009-3-8 23:58:30)" and no error immediately below it, but an error can appears several times later in the logs referencing "2009-03-08 19:01:00.545 VERBOSE Source pin for connect not found 2009-03-08 19:01:00.546 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed: hr = 80004005". Is this the problem and do you know what it is referencing? Thanks so much for your help.

No, thats not the problem with your machine waking. It asked to be make sure it was awake for that recording, but the machine was already awake so it went ahead for the recording.

The error I was referring to would have occurred as the very next line in the log, and would have said either "Unable to create wakeup timer. Wakeup not scheduled" or "SetWaitableTimer failed: %08X".
