you are a GENIUS! It worked. Pretty damn good so far too.

Could you whip up the .exe file you mentioned before (to replace the batch file)?

Also, I made one slight modification:

IRBlast-NoWindow.exe -pad 3 -port Port_1 -channel %ch%

I just did that so it wouldn't blast out of both STBs.

Thanks again for the fix, and if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you produce an .exe that I could use? Also, this may be requesting too much information, but how do you go about producing an .exe for this? I've dabbled around in code before and remember that an .exe is a application in runtime. But, is there a quick way to convert a batch into an .exe file? I wanted to know so in case I want to change anything in the .exe file, I'd know how to modify it.

cool...glad it worked after all...
i'll probably make the exe with Autoit3...it's a simple scripting language, but quite powerful..
it won't look anything like the batch file, but have same functions..
nice thing is you can make it run hidden, as well as any processes it spawns..
same thing i made the net2hipsend for HIP with...
small and light, faster than any .dotnet app...
will try to make it usefull for more than one extra stb codeset..[should be able to get 2 stbs working this way,a-j, k-t] [for a total of 3 possible at one time]

i'll see if i can't make the exe accept your blast params on the cmd line as well..
[so you can specify params normally for each instance]
should have something ready this weekend..

here's one you can test...
[just copied most of it from my net2hipsend,so didn't take but a few mins.]

in config, set blast2.exe as blaster .exe program, and "{channel} [extra params]"
[make sure channel is first param]

for using ports, use "{channel} -port Port_x -pad 3" for params..
[substituting x for desired port]


if irblast.exe isn't in default dir..."C:\Program Files\IR Server Suite\IR Blast\", place a copy of blast2.exe in your ir server 'irblast\' dir and run it from there....[it doesn't need irblast_nowindow.exe cuz it hides it anyways]
let me know how it goes...

if it works well for you, be my guest and upload to ir server site...judging by the lack of replies to your post there, i bet there are others who need it too...

i almost called it blast2irs [for blast 2 IRServer], but thought that might scare people... LOL

It works fine, but there is a bit of a delay in changing channels.

nope...fast as it gets far as i can tell...
much faster for me than individual digits...
it *may* be the length of your 'learned' keys...
when learning, try to hit the button as fast as you can while still registering..
the files will be smaller, as remotes typically repeat codes so easy to capture multiple copies of a single code...only one copy is needed of each..
compare with how long it takes to actually change channels with the real remote..
mine is very close...the exe *should* be faster than the batch file...
a good idea to 'optimize' the codes in any case...

if i had details about the way it communicates, i could make my exe replace the original...

are the digits reasonably close together and you're just seeing a startup delay?

you might wanna ask the author to implement the changes to the original exe...
he probably doesn't realize it's a hinderance...

Hey, I got it to work slightly faster (by learning the codes quicker), but it behaves relatively the same.

But, it works, and works pretty well. So, I guess I was just nitpicking.
