With 4 DVB-t sources all with the same RF feed I would like to be able to setup a single tuner then hit a duplicate buton to copy the channel mapping settings to other capture sources....

or

Have a master tuner with other tuners assigned as slaves that always take the masters mappings.

I've got 4xNova-t 500s (so eight tuners). I use one of the tuners to create a master scan-1.cache file and duplicate it around my other tuners. I still have to go through the map epg... but, but I don't actually need to run the 6 minute scan on each tuner.

The danger with this method and what you are proposing is that if you have a dodgy co-ax connection to one of your tuners, or even a slightly less sensitive tuner, you may get duff recordings if the recordingservice decides to record (or watch live TV) using a tuner that can't actually lock on that channel.

Scanning isn't nearly as big a time suck as the manual mapping of each channel. With over 100 channels this is both time consuming and full of opportunity to make mistakes.

I have 2xHVR1250s, both connected to Cable QAM. I just configured HVR1250-0 and it took 2 full hours. I am dreading configuring HVR1250-1.

If I could at least dump the map from HVR1250-0, that would save a TON of time.

Thanks!

I've never tried it and I'm not sure if it will work with your card, but you could look at the WizBdaChannelTool on this page...

Make sure you backup your gbpvr.db3 database file first.

Cheers,
Brian

Update - WizBdaChannelTool was exactly what I needed. Worked perfectly. Thanks for the tip!
