Problems with USBUIRT & Cable Box

I have recently purchased a USB-UIRT so I can change channels on my cable box when my GB-PVR changes channel. I currently have a NTL analogue service using a General Instrument CFT2100 STB. I've setup a new device profile for my remote control, but when it comes to changing channels in GB-PVR, either nothing happens or it changes my STB to channel 9.
Does anyone have any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? I'll be very grateful for any help I can get.

I've now confirmed that my USBUIRT works by going back to Snapstream's Beyond TV v3.5.1.  BTV allows me to change channels on my STB.  I've found the dat file that BTV uses and I have copied the HEX data into a GB-PVR  IR dat file to see if it would work, but it still doesn't.
I would rather use GB-PVR as I find it much more stable that BTV, but currently I've having to use BTV untill I can resolve this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
