I have a Hauppauge HVR-1250 that recorded an OTA ATSC show. The recording doesn't play back in GBPVR, just gives me a blank screen. The file does play in Windows Media Player. The default application for .DVR-MS files on my Vista system was Windows Media Center. I changed the default program to Windows Media Player, and this caused GBPVR to crash.

I cant open .7z files on this machine, so I havnt looked in your logs.

Was the .dvr-ms file recorded by GB-PVR or Windows Media Center?

I'm sure you know where to get 7-zip so you can open .7z files, right? The .dvr-ms file was recorded by GB-PVR. I don't use Windows Media Center, but it's installed on my system. I've also uploaded a zip file of the same logs.

Yes - I can open them on my development machine. I was on my wife's laptop then, which I prefer not to install anything on.

I cant see anything obvious in that log. It looks ok.

If you temporarily set the audio and video decoders back to 'system default' (rather than ffdshow) does it make any difference?

FYI, a few months ago I had trouble with dvr-ms playback for ATSC HD files inside GBPVR when I switched to Vista. It would crash inside GBPVR. I had the same settings that worked for me with XP, with the same filters installed. (IIRC, I used PDVD7 as the video decoder) I could play dvr-ms fine outside GBPVR. Setting to "system default" fixed this issue for me.
